Texas airmen conducted tours, exchanges, and discussions at the airshow as part of an international cooperative effort.
The U.S. National Guard reported that members of the Texas Air National Guard and U.S. Air Forces Central joined a team of international military leaders, civil aviation authorities, and defense representatives for the Egypt International Airshow 2026 at Al Alamein International Airport. As part of the show, National Guard members conducted display tours of a C-130J Super Hercules, bilateral patch exchanges, and professional discussions with international aircrew members. Members of the U.S. Air Forces Central Band also performed for attendees.
U.S. Air Force Brigadier General Joshlin Lewis stated, “Airshows and defense expositions like [the Egypt International Airshow 2026] drive future interconnectedness across our coalition forces. When allies and partners operate similar platforms and share tactical understanding, it translates directly to enhanced operational readiness and collective air power.”
U.S. Air Force Colonel Kurt Anderson, 136th Airlift Wing commander, stated, “Interoperability is the cornerstone of any effective coalition. Events of this scale afford our Airmen the opportunity to build direct relationships with host nation personnel and partner forces, ensuring we remain postured and ready as a credible force.”
The Texas National Guard has partnered with Egypt since 2020.
