President Donald Trump will address the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in Manhattan today.
President Trump is expected to address the efforts the U.S. has made to negotiate peace in various international conflicts, including Ukraine and the Middle East, and to protect global commerce. He will highlight the need to prevent the Iranian regime from having nuclear weapons. The president is also likely to discuss the need to support emerging technologies.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio and State Department assistant and under secretaries are also attending the UN General Assembly High-Level Week, meeting with foreign ministers to discuss shared security and economic priorities, support peace efforts, and strengthen cooperation on priority issues.
