Americans interested in obtaining the special, limited-edition passport need to schedule an appointment at the nearest passport agency.
The Department of State announced that an additional 250,000 commemorative passports will be available for Americans nationwide. The semiquincentennial passports are being offered in response to the overwhelming demand the department has received for the “Patriot Passport.”
The department highlighted, “Since its release in celebration of 250 years of American independence, the commemorative passport has generated extraordinary public interest. The Department of State is responding by expanding access so Americans across the country can obtain this unique and special document. The Department is hosting application events at passport agencies and centers for patriots all across our nation.”
The limited-edition passport features custom artwork including images of text from the Declaration of Independence, a Freedom 250 gold flag, President Trump, and the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence.
Applicants for a Freedom250 passport must schedule an appointment at a U.S. passport agency or center.
