The semiquincentennial cards are part of the Enumeration at Birth program.
The Social Security Administration (SSA) has launched a special semiquincentennial commemorative Social Security card for newborns born between July 2 and December 31, 2026.
The agency explained, “The commemorative cards will be issued as part of the Enumeration at Birth (EAB) program, where parents at hospitals, birthing centers, or those using licensed midwives can request a Social Security number during the birth registration process.“
SSA Commissioner Frank Bisignano said, “Freedom 250 is a celebration of America’s storied history and the monumental moments that have shaped our nation, including the creation of Social Security over 90 years ago. The next generation of Americans born during this historic year will receive limited-edition Social Security cards bearing the Freedom 250 logo.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Commissioner Bisignano to be led by the Lord as he heads the Social Security Administration.
- For SSA officials as they issue the commemorative Social Security cards to qualifying newborns this year.
- With gratitude for the new lives God is ushering into the nation during its 250th anniversary.
