EPA Highlights Mortgage Forbearance Extension for LA Wildfire Survivors

Wells Fargo is increasing the forbearance timeframe to assist survivors with efforts to rebuild.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reported that Wells Fargo has extended mortgage forebearance up to an additional 12 months to assist survivors of the 2025 Los Angeles wildfire in rebuilding.

Administrator Lee Zeldin said, “EPA’s cleanup cleared the path to rebuild, and private partners like Wells Fargo stepping up to ease the financial burden on survivors is exactly the public-private effort this recovery needs.”

The agency stated, “EPA leadership has worked closely alongside President Donald Trump, the Small Business Administration, and other federal agencies, staying in regular contact with local officials  to accelerate permitting and confront the pressures still facing survivors.“

The EPA encouraged property owners and residents to visit the L.A. County wildfire response website for further guidance.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Administrator Zeldin as he oversees EPA efforts to assist survivors of the wildfires.
  • For federal, state, and local officials as they assess the damages and evaluate the process of rebuilding.
  • For private sector executives and personnel as they consider the situations of borrowers who lost their homes.
