The fund is part of a settlement agreement in a lawsuit brought by the president and members of his family.
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has announced the establishment of “The Anti-Weaponization Fund” as a part of a settlement agreement in the President Donald J. Trump v. Internal Revenue Service lawsuit. This lawsuit was filed by President Trump, Donald J. Trump, Jr., Eric Trump, and the Trump Organization, LLC, after information regarding their tax returns was leaked to the public.
The new fund, which will receive $1.776 billion in funding, will be available to claimants who believe they are victims of lawfare and weaponization. The fund will send a quarterly report to the Attorney General outlining who received relief and the form of relief they were awarded. It is expected to end claims processing no later than December 1, 2028.
The fund will be made up of five members appointed by the attorney general. The president will be able to remove any member.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the acting Attorney General as he appoints the members who will oversee the new fund.
- For those who will oversee the new fund as they begin processing claims.
- For DOJ officials as they continue to enforce laws and fair practices in the U.S.
