Iran is not keeping strictly to the initial ceasefire agreement.
The leaders of several nations issued a joint statement urging the inclusion of Israel’s strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon in the two-week ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran. The signatories include the heads of France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, Romania, Denmark, Iceland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Slovakia, Greece, Spain, Norway, Finland, Japan, the European Commission, and the European Council.
President Trump and members of his administration have maintained that the ceasefire does not include Hezbollah, though Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said his country would pause strikes in order to support the peace negotiations.
Iran reportedly launched missile strikes against Tel Aviv not long after President Trump announced the two-week ceasefire. Before the announcement of the pause in the conflict, Israel attacked and destroyed Iran’s largest petrochemical facility at South Pars.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for President Trump and U.S. officials as they engage in discussions regarding Iran, Israel, Lebanon, and the Middle East at large.
- For Secretary of State Rubio as he oversees diplomatic efforts made by U.S. ambassadors.
- For Vice President Vance and members of the delegation conducting peace negotiations in Pakistan.
