EPA to Review Insurance Companies Over Southern California Wildfire Compensation

President Trump called out seemingly improper practices by California insurance companies.

President Trump has expressed disapproval over insurance companies’ handling of coverage for those affected by the California wildfires in early 2025.

The president stated on social media, “I have just met with various Political Representatives of the tragedy that took place in California concerning the burning of thousands of once beautiful homes. It was brought to my attention that the Insurance Companies, in particular, State Farm, have been absolutely horrible to people that have been paying them large Premiums for years, only to find that when tragedy struck, these horrendous Companies were not there to help!”

President Trump said he asked the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin to provide a list of insurance companies that appear to have fulfilled their legal obligations to their clients in the wake of the fire, as well as those who did not. He concluded by saying that the government was “looking into this matter.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump as he seeks ways to hold insurance companies in California accountable.
  • For Administrator Lee Zeldin as he oversees the review of the policies and actions of insurance companies related to the coverage of those whose homes burned in the 2025 wildfires.
