Iran Continues Retaliatory Strikes

The conflict continues to spread through the region through drone and ballistic missile attacks.

On the fifth day of the U.S.-Israel war with Iran, following a series of Israeli strikes on key infrastructure sites in Iran, Iran responded by launching another salvo of ballistic missiles and drone attacks at U.S. air bases and embassies. As the conflict spreads throughout the region, the U.S. Department of State has ordered all non-emergency staff to leave the region. The most recent evacuation orders came for those operating within the embassies in Pakistan.

The casualty numbers continue to rise, with officials reporting that 800 Iranians have been killed, along with 50 from Lebanon, 11 from Israel, and 6 United States service members.

When asked what the American people could expect as the war progresses in Iran, President Trump said, “It’s going to go pretty quickly. We’re right on schedule, way ahead of schedule in terms of leadership — 49 killed — and that was, you know, going to take, we figured, at least four weeks, and we did it in one day.” As the U.S. navigates the next steps, the president continued, “I don’t have the yips with respect to boots on the ground – like every president says, ‘There will be no boots on the ground.’ I don’t say it.” He added that troops could be deployed, “If they were necessary.”

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegset reiterated the stance, saying, “President Trump ensures our enemies understand we’ll go as far as we need to go to advance American interests.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump and his military advisors as operations continue in the Middle East.
  • For God’s protection over U.S. military personnel conducting strikes and missions in the effort against Iran.
  • For God to be at work in world leaders to bring about a swift and peaceful end to the conflict.
