NASA Launches SpaceX Crew to International Space Station

The 12 astronauts should arrive late Saturday afternoon.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) launched the SpaceX Dragon with a Falcon 9 rocket on Friday morning from the Space Force Station at Cape Canaveral, Florida. Crew-12, consisting of 4 astronauts, was aboard, bound for the International Space Station (ISS).

The launch, which was delayed two days due to wind and inclement weather along its trajectory, still occurred sooner than the original target of February 15. The mission was expedited after the previous crew returned earlier than scheduled. An astronaut’s medical issue was the cause of the return of Crew-11 last month.

The new crew will perform ISS maintenance, including two spacewalks that were not completed due to the previous crew’s early departure. They will also continue research regarding the effect of microgravity on human physiology.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the safety of all the astronauts at the International Space Station.
  • For wisdom for Administrator Jared Isaacman as he heads NASA and oversees mission operations.
