Lawsuit dismissed in federal court.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) reinstated Title X grant funding to Planned Parenthood last month, resulting in the dismissal of a lawsuit against the government this week for the funding having been frozen. The federal family planning grants were halted in the spring of 2025 as part of the administration’s investigation into diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.
U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro wrote in a mid-December court filing that the review of the Title X funds “is completed, and all grants at issue for Plaintiff’s members have been restored,” and asked the challengers to consider whether “this matter can be voluntarily dismissed in light of the restoration of the remaining grants.”
A lawsuit is ongoing over the provision in the One Big Beautiful Bill that would remove taxpayer funding from Planned Parenthood for one year. Last month, the First Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals allowed the measure to be enforced as the challenge proceeds.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Attorney General Pamela Bondi to receive God’s wisdom as she heads the Justice Department.
- For U.S. Attorney Pirro as she serves the DOJ in the District of Columbia.
- For federal judges as they hear challenges to the policies and actions of the president’s administration.
