Today, the justices of the Supreme Court will hear a consolidated case regarding the sovereignty of state-created entities and whether or not they have immunity from private suits in other state courts as an “arm of the state” that established them.
House committees are marking up legislation, making alterations before the panels vote on the bills. The Science, Space, and Technology, and Foreign Affairs committees are going to, respectively, assess America’s artificial intelligence (AI) action plan and consider how the U.S. stacks up in the AI race against China.
The Senate Committee on Aging, chaired by Senator Rick Scott of Florida, is holding a hearing entitled “Made in China, Paid by Seniors: Stopping the Surge of International Scams.”
