Today, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management is holding Lease Sale Big Beautiful Gulf 1 (BBG1) offering approximately 80 million acres in the Gulf of America for oil and gas leasing. It is the first of 30 lease sales authorized under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The event will be livestreamed on the agency’s site.
