Saudi Arabia Releases U.S. Citizen

The man was released after President Trump met with the Saudi crown prince.

After President Donald Trump met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House, Saudi Arabia released a dual U.S.-Saudi citizen who was imprisoned due to social media posts that were critical of the royal family.

The man had immigrated to the United States in 1976. He was arrested in 2021 while visiting family in Saudi Arabia. He was originally charged with terrorism and sentenced to over 16 years. When he was released in 2023, his charges were downgraded, but he was forbidden to leave the country.

His family expressed gratitude to President Trump and his administration officials for their “tireless efforts.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump as he continues to advocate for the release of U.S. citizens being detained in foreign nations.
  • For U.S. ambassadors and emissaries as they negotiate for the release of Americans imprisoned abroad.
