FCC Announces Agenda for Open Meeting

Commission to consider proposals on spectrum use, relay services, regulatory cleanup, and cybersecurity rules.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced the agenda for its Open Meeting on Thursday. The meeting will take place at commission headquarters in Washington, D.C., and be available to the public both in person and via livestream.

The Commission will review several policy items, including a proposal to examine potential changes to the Upper C-band spectrum in line with directives from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Other items include seeking comment on modernizing telecommunications relay services, updating rules related to analog relay systems, and streamlining certification processes.

The meeting will also consider efforts to remove outdated or expired regulations as part of an ongoing cleanup initiative, as well as a cybersecurity-related item that would reverse a January 2025 ruling the FCC determined to be unlawful and ineffective.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the FCC members as they evaluate proposals that affect communication systems, public safety, and nationwide access to essential services.
  • For wisdom for Commissioner Brendan Carr as he presides over the meeting.
