President Trump at the White House

President Donald Trump is hosting Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary at the White House today. They will discuss the Ukraine war and energy supplies, among other mutual concerns.

President Trump at the White House

President Trump imposed “tremendous” sanctions on Russian oil and gas companies late last month in an effort to press Russia toward peace in Ukraine. The president said, “We hope that they won’t be on for long, we hope that the war will be settled.”

Hungary relies on Russia for much of its energy supply. After the sanctions were put in place, the Hungarian prime minister said he was working on “how to circumvent these sanctions.” He is expected to seek sanction exemptions to avoid exorbitant energy prices in his landlocked nation.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump to be led by the Lord as he seeks peace in Ukraine.
  • For the president and prime minister as they discuss mutual concerns surrounding the war.
  • For members of the Senate as they continue to deliberate over funding the federal government.
