Pentagon Implements New Credentialing for Media Outlets

Most outlets withdrew their journalists in protest of the new rules.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth recently instituted new rules for the credentialing of reporters on the premises of the Pentagon. The new guidelines included having to wear a visible badge and restrictions on where they were allowed to be in the building.

All but one media outlet withdrew their journalists from the Pentagon before the deadline this past Tuesday in protest. One American News Network was the sole outlet to sign off on the new policy. Secretary Hegseth responded to First Amendment concerns by explaining that the new Pentagon policy is aligned with the rules for all U.S. military installations as well as the White House.

President Trump said to the press during his cabinet meeting, “I find that when it comes to war… it bothers me to have soldiers and even high-ranking generals walking around with you guys on their sleeve.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Hegseth to be led by the Lord as he heads the Defense Department.
  • For President Trump to seek God’s wisdom as commander-in-chief of the U.S. military.
