US and Israel flags

President Donald Trump is traveling to Israel. The president has been invited to address the Israeli parliament, the Knesset. This is the first time in nearly 20 years that a U.S. president will speak before the Israeli government.

President Trump was actively involved in negotiating the peace deal between Israel and Hamas, which was completed just after the second anniversary of Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel. The president made multiple calls to various officials as Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner participated in negotiations.

The Knesset ratified the first phase of President Trump’s peace deal on Friday. The Israeli Defense Force began its removal from Gaza as a result, and Gazans displaced by the war have begun to return. President Trump’s administration will station 200 U.S. troops from U.S. Central Command in Israel, though not in Gaza, to monitor the first phase of the peace agreement.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the safety of President Trump as he travels to Israel and addresses the Knesset.
  • For wisdom for the president and his advisors as they continue to pursue peace agreements around the world.
  • For God’s protection over U.S. troops stationed in the Middle East and around the world.
