Trump White House Colonnade

President Donald Trump indicated a willingness to negotiate on the healthcare subsidies that the Senate minority insists must be extended before funding the federal government.

President Trump said, “If we made the right deal, I’d make a deal.” He stated that the government must be reopened before negotiations would commence on the health tax credits.

The Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments today to consider whether or not states are allowed to receive and count ballots after Election Day. In today’s second case, the justices will be determining whether the Federal Tort Claims Act waiver of the government’s immunity for seeking damages applies to Postal Service employees intentionally not delivering mail to a designated address.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for President Trump as he assesses the nation’s economy and the effects of the government shutdown.
  • For members of the Senate to be discerning regarding the funding of the government
  • For the justices of the Supreme Court as they hear cases and interpret the application of the U.S. Constitution and federal laws.
