First Lady Melania Trump announced her new Fostering the Future Together initiative at the United Nations’ 80th General Assembly.
The first lady gave a speech during the assembly, highlighting how technology has changed how children experience childhood. She believes that this new initiative can harness this new technological reality to encourage children’s education and innovation in the tech sector.
The Fostering the Future Together initiative is to “ensure that every child can flourish in the digital era,” the first lady told the audience.
“Great minds have turned marbles into microchips, paper airplanes into drones, and kites into satellites,” Mrs. Trump said. “Our next generation will use tech to revolutionize how we live, travel, design, and connect.”
