Sunday, November 1

President Donald Trump is speaking at midterm election rallies in Salina, Kansas, and Dubuque, Iowa, today.

The campaign events were rescheduled as the president held tele-rallies for midterm election races nationwide.

Legislators in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives face conflicting legislation to end the twice-yearly time change. Senator Rick Scott of Florida introduced the Sunshine Protection Act last year to maintain Daylight Saving Time year-round. Representative Mary Gay Scanlon of Pennsylvania introduced the Sunshine for Our Kids Act this summer to keep the nation on Standard Time.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the Lord’s protection over President Trump as he travels to speak at the midterm election rallies today.
  • For wisdom for federal legislators in the House and Senate as they consider eliminating the time change by keeping either Standard Time or Daylight Saving Time year-round.
  • For members of the federal judiciary as they hear challenges to election laws and procedures.
