President Donald Trump is speaking today at a campaign event in Sioux City, Iowa.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is in India for his second official visit of the year.
State Department Spokesman Tommy Pigott said Secretary Rubio would “meet with senior government officials to strengthen the U.S.-India strategic partnership, exchange views on regional and global dynamics, and discuss prospects for enhanced energy cooperation.”
Secretary Rubio spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the phone ahead of an in-person meeting with U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff. The secretary of state assured him that the United States continues to support Ukraine through intelligence sharing, weapons sales, and use of the Starshield satellite system.
