The funding will support 14 different commercial truck parking projects.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced that the Department of Transportation will invest $200 million to expand truck parking availability for 14 projects across twelve U.S. states. The investment will expand commercial truck parking along critical freight corridors to reduce fatigue-related accidents, improve supply chain efficiency, and deliver savings.
Secretary Duffy stated, “American truckers are finally getting the attention and support they deserve thanks to President Trump. These patriotic men and women work hard to ensure our store shelves are stocked, our gas stations are fueled, and our packages are delivered. They shouldn’t have to spend over an hour looking for a safe place to rest at the end of the day.“
He continued, “This nationwide investment will make America’s truckers safer, enhance our supply chains, and reduce freight costs.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Duffy as he oversees the Transportation Department’s investment in the U.S. trucking industry.
- For project recipients to use the funding efficiently and effectively to improve truck parking availability.
- For the safety of truckers who are supporting the nation’s supply chain on the road each day.
