Last month, the border czar confirmed a criminal investigation into alleged immigration fraud by Representative Omar.
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents executed a search warrant at Representative Ilhan Omar’s home in the District of Columbia on Monday morning. The administration has been probing allegations that the Minnesota congresswoman from Somalia committed fraud in her immigration paperwork.
“Today in the Washington, D.C., area, Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant secured by the Department of Justice,” a Justice Department spokesperson stated. “This enforcement action is part of an ongoing investigation.”
Border Czar Tom Homan said last month, “If someone committed an immigration violation, if someone committed marriage fraud or anything like that, regardless if they’re a congressman or not, no one’s above the law.”
