U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Brooke Rollins recently discussed how President Donald Trump is working with her department to support U.S. ranchers. Secretary Rollins spoke about the president’s decision to temporarily pause the tariff on beef imports to the U.S. for 90 days to reduce costs for U.S. consumers at the grocery store.
Secretary Rollins also announced funding under the USDA Value Added Producer Grant Program being awarded to support the development of value-added agricultural products, market research, and business and marketing strategies.
“These grants represent another investment in the Great American Cattle Herd as we fortify the American beef industry,” said Secretary Rollins. “By supporting our ranchers and agricultural producers as they develop new products and increase the value of what they grow and raise, we’re helping to create new revenue opportunities to grow the herd and create long-term economic resilience in rural communities across this nation.”
