U.S. Mint Releases Semiquincentennial “Never Forget“ Half Dollar

The special “Enduring Liberty” coin commemorates September 11, 2001.

The U.S. Mint opened orders for the semiquincentennial half dollar to the public the day before Patriot Day. The Semiquincentennial Enduring Liberty Half Dollar commemorates the 250th anniversary of the United States and highlights the September 11, 2001 date, with “Never Forget“ to honor the heroes and victims of the attacks that occurred 25 years ago.

“We honor the memory of those we lost and the courage of those who risked their lives to save their fellow Americans,” Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent stated on September 10. “A quarter century later, our promise to the victims and their families remains the same: we will never forget.”

The U.S. Mint struck 2,983 memorial copies of the coin that states “Always Remember,“ where the public version says “Never Forget.“ These coins were presented to the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Bessent as he heads the Treasury Department and oversees the U.S. Mint.
  • For President Trump and members of his administration as they honor the memory of the heroes and victims of 9/11 on the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
