Energy Secretary Chris Wright has issued an emergency order for backup power generation to stabilize electricity across 17 states during the heat wave. The order is intended to ensure reliability and mitigate the possibility of power outages due to increased demand.

The Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, is holding a business meeting to consider the nomination of Todd Blanche to be Attorney General.
The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, chaired by Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, is also considering the nominations of Keith Sonderling to be Secretary of Labor and Erica Schwartz to be Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Wright and U.S. energy officials as they evaluate the state of power generation and use of backup power to avoid outages.
- For members of the Senate committees as they assess the qualifications of the president’s nominees to federal posts.
- For President Trump and members of his administration to seek the Lord’s guidance in their actions and decisions.
