He announced that the U.S. “hit them very hard” last night and that the military blockade may return.
President Donald Trump said that the ceasefire with Iran was over on Wednesday after the U.S. and Iran traded hundreds of strikes overnight. U.S. Central Command reported that it struck over 80 targets in southern Iran after commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz were attacked. Iran then targeted 85 U.S. military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait.
“I think it’s over. I don’t want to deal with them anymore,” President Trump said from the NATO summit in Turkey. “They’re led by sick people. And they’re vicious, violent people. And if they had a nuclear weapon, they’d use it. … As far as I’m concerned, it’s just a waste of time dealing with them.”
The president said that when the regime halted peace talks for public funeral ceremonies for their Ayatollah, “We say, ‘Go and do your funeral stuff,’ and instead of that, they start shooting rockets at ships yesterday. So we hit them very hard last night.”
He addressed the denuclearization, saying, “They can’t have a nuclear weapon. They go around killing people. They’ve killed thousands and thousands of our soldiers. They’ve killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people.”
As Iran continues to try to control the Strait of Hormuz, President Trump said, “We may put down the blockade, we may put it back, the blockade, and it’ll only be a blockade for Iran. Anybody else can have whatever they want.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for President Trump and his advisors as they assess the situation with Iran.
- For the president and members of his administration to seek the Lord’s guidance regarding the Islamic regime.
- For God’s will and purposes to be accomplished through the U.S. actions in the Middle East.
