The White House is considering the request in the context of the Iran war.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reported that the Pentagon placed a request with the White House for funding from Congress to replenish weaponry.
“It takes a lot of money to kill bad guys,” Secretary Hegseth said. “So, we’re going back to Congress and our folks there to ensure that we’re properly funded for what’s been done for what we may have to do in the future, ensure that our ammunition–everything’s refilled, and not just refilled, but above and beyond.”
“It will be at [President Trump’s] choosing ultimately, where we say, ‘Hey, we’ve achieved what we need to on behalf of the American people to ensure our security,’” Secretary Hegseth said regarding the timeline of Operation Epic Fury. “No time set on that, but we’re very much on track.”
“To date, we’ve struck over 7,000 targets across Iran and its military infrastructure. That is not incremental. That is overwhelming force applied with precision.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Hegseth as he oversees Operation Epic Fury and the weapons stockpile.
- For wisdom for President Trump as commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces.
