President Donald Trump is welcoming Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi of Japan to the White House today.

President Trump will discuss securing the Strait of Hormuz with Prime Minister Takaichi. Other key topics will include Japan’s commitments to invest in the United States, increasing defense spending, and the now-postponed summit with Chinese President Xi.

The previous in-person meeting between President Trump and Prime Minister Takaichi took place when the U.S. president was in Japan in October of last year. This is the first visit the Japanese prime minister has made to the United States since her election.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump and Prime Minister Takaichi as they discuss subjects of mutual concern.
  • For wisdom for the president as he seeks a coalition to secure the transit of cargo through the Strait of Hormuz.
  • For President Trump, Vice President Vance, Secretary Rubio, Secretary Hegseth, and the U.S. diplomats and military advisors as they seek to resolve global conflicts.
