Secretary of State Marco Rubio made an announcement regarding U.S. citizens who desire to return home from the Middle East.
The State Department launched an online crisis intake form for Americans in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Israel who desire to return to the U.S. Departure assistance information about available aviation and ground transportation options is available to U.S. citizens through the MyTravel form available on the State Department website. A phone number is also available for Americans who wish to leave other Middle Eastern nations to contact for assistance.
Secretary Rubio encouraged Americans who are abroad to register on the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive alerts and updates from the nearest U.S. embassy.
