The president stated that the “big wave” of U.S. armed forces is still to come.
President Donald Trump said that the assault on Iran is “ahead of schedule.” He added, “We haven’t even started hitting them hard. The big wave hasn’t even happened. The big one is coming soon.”
The Middle Eastern conflict expanded to include Lebanon on Sunday after Iranian-backed Hezbollah launched missiles toward Israel. On Monday, the government of Lebanon directed Hezbollah to disarm and called the military group’s activity “illegal.”
“Our military objectives are clear,” Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine said. “Our mission is to protect and defend ourselves, and together with our regional partners, prevent Iran from the ability to project power outside of its borders and be ready for follow on actions as appropriate.”
