The agency seeks counselors for nationwide vocational services.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) recently announced it is hiring more than 300 vocational rehabilitation counselors and specialists to support its Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) program. Positions are available nationwide, with applications open through mid-March. The agency is seeking candidates with experience in counseling, rehabilitation, social work, or related fields.
“VA exists to help Veterans achieve the American Dream, and VR&E is one of our most powerful tools for making that happen,” said VA Secretary Doug Collins. “This hiring push will make it easier than ever before for Veterans to get help from the department to navigate career transitions, pursue education or training, and build a sustainable future.”
The program provides individualized support to veterans with service-connected disabilities, helping them pursue employment, education, or training aligned with their goals. Counselors work directly with veterans to address barriers to employment, coordinate services, and support long-term career outcomes as part of the VA’s broader transition and workforce initiatives.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for Secretary Collins as he heads the Veterans Affairs Department.
- For VA staff as they provide employment and rehabilitation support.
- For veterans navigating career transitions after military service.
