Religious Liberty Commission Chair Removes Member for Defending Antisemitism

The member turned a recent hearing into an argument over Zionism.

White House Religious Liberty Commission Chair Dan Patrick announced that Catholic activist Carrie Prejean Boller has been removed from the group after she defended antisemitism at a hearing this week.

Chairman Patrick stated on social media, “No member of the Commission has the right to hijack a hearing for their own personal and political agenda on any issue. This is clearly, without question, what happened Monday in our hearing on antisemitism in America. This was my decision.”

“The Commission has done outstanding work through five hearings. Two more are scheduled. The testimony has been both illuminating and heartbreaking,” Chairman Patrick continued. He added that, in recent years, “Americans of all faiths had their religious liberty not only stolen… but were often punished for standing up for their faith, in education, the military, the private sector, and even the ministry.”

The commission will present a report to President Trump in the spring.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Chairman Patrick to be discerning as he presides over the remaining hearings.
  • For the commission members as they prepare their report for the president.
