The website offers cash-price discounts on select medications.
The White House announced the launch of TrumpRx, an online platform intended to provide lower cash prices on certain commonly prescribed medications. The website allows consumers with valid prescriptions, particularly those without insurance, to access coupons for dozens of widely used drugs, which can be printed or downloaded for use at participating pharmacies. The platform does not accept insurance and relies on agreements with pharmaceutical manufacturers.
President Trump announced, “Dozens of the most commonly used prescription drugs will be available at dramatic discounts for all consumers through a new website called TrumpRx.gov.”
The initiative follows a “most favored nation” pricing approach that seeks to align U.S. drug prices more closely with those paid in other countries. The White House said multiple major drug manufacturers have joined the program since its initial announcement last fall, expanding the list of available medications. The platform currently lists about 40 high-cost or frequently prescribed drugs, with pricing structured for direct, out-of-pocket purchase.
