DOJ Charges Man Who Threatened to Kill Vice President Vance

Secret Service arrested the Ohio resident last week.

The Justice Department announced that a 33-year-old man from Toledo, Ohio, was arrested by the U.S. Secret Service for threatening to kill Vice President JD Vance.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said, “While arresting this man for allegedly threatening to murder the Vice President of the United States, a serious crime in and of itself, federal law enforcement discovered that he was also in possession of child sexual abuse materials.“

“Our attorneys are vigorously prosecuting this disgusting threat against Vice President Vance,“ Attorney General Pamela Bondi stated. “You can hide behind a screen, but you cannot hide from this Department of Justice.”

Last month, a man from Maryland was arrested in Arlington, Virginia, for attempted murder. The man had carried an unregistered firearm, while wearing a mask, to Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought’s home last year.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the Secret Service as they endeavor to protect the president, vice president, and members of the president’s administration.
  • For Attorney General Bondi and DOJ prosecutors as they seek to bring justice to those who threaten federal officials.
  • For federal, state, and local law enforcement as they work to prevent political violence.
  • For elected and appointed officials to eliminate hateful or inciting rhetoric.
