President Donald Trump is welcoming Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado to the White House today. She was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2025, dedicating it to the Venezuelan people and to President Trump. Machado is also expected to meet with members of Congress.

President Trump is also being advised on options ranging from diplomacy to military action to support and protect protestors in Iran as the regime attacks the people. The U.S. has begun removing personnel from Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar as the potential for military action, and possible retaliation, are considered.
The Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, is considering an amendment to title 18, United States Code, to prevent and mitigate the potential for conflicts of interest following government service. The panel will also hold hearings on nominees to the judicial bench and the Justice Department.
The Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, chaired by Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, is considering legislation to provide for a system of regulation of the offer and sale of digital commodities by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump as he considers options to help Venezuela recover from corruption and oppression.
- For God to guide the president as he assesses the situation with Iran and decides what measures to take to support the people.
- For discernment for Senate committee chairs and members as they hold hearings and vote on nominees to various federal posts.
