President Trump Threatens to Invoke the Insurrection Act in Minnesota

Trump Resolute Desk
Politicians have incited violence against federal immigration enforcement officers.

President Donald Trump announced that he would invoke the Insurrection Act if politicians and leaders in Minnesota do not stop encouraging assaults on U.S. Immigration and Enforcement (ICE) agents.

President Trump stated that if they “don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of I.C.E., who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the INSURRECTION ACT, which many Presidents have done before me, and quickly put an end to the travesty that is taking place in that once great State.”

The Insurrection Act has previously been invoked by 17 presidents, a total of 30 times, to resolve violent uprisings and armed mobs.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump and his advisors as they address the violence of demonstrators against federal law enforcement.
  • For wisdom for the president as he considers options to uphold the law under the Constitution.
  • For state and local leaders to ensure the safety of the public and of law enforcement.
