The task force will directly address issues in Minnesota before branching out nationwide.
Vice President JD Vance recently announced a new federal task force that will focus exclusively on addressing fraud. The vice president said there will also be a new assistant attorney general who will answer directly to the president or himself, instead of following the conventional Department of Justice (DOJ) hierarchy.
Massive fraud has been uncovered in Minnesota, where people have deceptively claimed federal childcare benefits for children with developmental disabilities. To prevent more federal social aid from being lost to fraud, $10 billion in social service and child care funding has been frozen to the states of California, Colorado, Minnesota, New York, and Illinois.
“We have activated a major Interagency task force to make it possible to get to the heart of this fraud,” Vice President Vance said, “We also want to expand this. We know that the fraud isn’t just happening in Minneapolis. It’s also happening in states like Ohio. It’s happening in states like California.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Vice President Vance to seek the Lord as he supports President Trump and the administration’s goals.
- For DOJ officials as they investigate the fraud occurring in Minnesota and other states.
- For the president and attorney general as they assess candidates for the fraud task force.
