A concern for childhood health risks brings the issue to the forefront.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) panel will review the use of aluminum salts in vaccines. Aluminum has been added to vaccines as an adjuvant for nearly 100 years, and is used in about half of childhood vaccines, such as hepatitis B, diphtheria, tetanus, and human papillomavirus. The compound is intended to boost the body’s immune response to vaccination.
Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said, “We need to look at the aluminum in the vaccines to see if that has anything to do with this explosion of allergies that began in 1989, which was the year they expanded the vaccine schedule.”
HHS Spokesperson Andrew Nixon stated that the panel is “reviewing the body of science related to aluminum and other possible contaminants in childhood vaccine[s].”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Kennedy to seek God’s guidance as he oversees the review and reappraisal of the ingredients in vaccines.
- For CDC officials to be discerning as they analyze the impacts of aluminum as an adjuvant.
- For Deputy Secretary O’Neill as he serves as acting director of the CDC.
