More than $320 million will support new AI infrastructure, data systems, and automation across national laboratories.
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced more than $320 million in new funding to expand artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities under its Genesis Mission. The funding is intended to increase the productivity of federally supported science and engineering research.
“By investing in the American Science Cloud and the Transformational AI Model Consortium we are creating the foundational technologies and AI-ready data sets that will enable the success of the Genesis Mission,” said Under Secretary for Science Darío Gil.
The investments will support the development of an integrated American Science and Security Platform, designed to combine advanced AI models, large-scale data, and computing resources across national laboratories, universities, and industry partners.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Wright and DOE officials as they oversee public funds toward responsible and reliable scientific advancement.
- For national laboratory officials as they collaborate with universities and industry partners to develop and share data and tools.
