Despite the government shutdown, President Donald Trump announced that U.S. troops will be paid today. The Pentagon will reportedly reallocate unused research and development funding from last year to pay military personnel.

President Trump stated, “I am using my authority, as Commander in Chief, to direct our Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to use all available funds to get our Troops PAID on October 15. We have identified funds to do this, and Secretary Hegseth will use them to PAY OUR TROOPS.”
Today, the Supreme Court is hearing a case on the constitutionality of racial gerrymandering in Louisiana’s congressional district maps. The second case the high court will hear concerns probable cause for law enforcement to enter a home without a search warrant under the emergency-aid exception.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump to receive God’s wisdom as he navigates the government shutdown.
- For members of the Senate to be prudent in their consideration of congressional districting and the scope of law enforcement’s authority.
- For God’s will and purposes to be accomplished in and through the three branches of the U.S. federal government.
