The U.S. Department of Commerce announced that it secured a large commercial deal between Wabtec Corporation and the government of Kazakhstan to provide 300 locomotives to that nation. The department hosted a signing ceremony for the $4.2 billion deal at the UN General Assembly in New York City last month.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said this “record Locomotive Deal commercial agreement for the great American company Wabtec Corporation shows the economic prosperity that President Trump’s America First Trade Policy continues to deliver. This landmark deal advances U.S. manufacturing jobs and accelerates growth, opportunity, and connectivity in America and Central Asia.”
Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade William Kimmitt stated, “This massive commercial deal reinforces U.S. industrial strength and supports our economic prosperity with high-quality U.S. jobs. American innovation, technology, and manufacturing are unmatched. We will continue to support manufacturing jobs across our nation and deliver on President Trump’s trade agenda that puts the American worker first.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Lutnick to be led by the Lord as he heads the Department of Commerce.
- For Under Secretary Kimmitt as he facilitates international trade and commerce.
