The purpose of Secretary Hegseth’s meeting at Quantico has not been disclosed.
On Sunday, President Donald Trump announced that he will attend the military meeting at Quantico Marine Base scheduled on Tuesday by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
Last week, Secretary Hegseth called for hundreds of U.S. military leaders stationed across the globe to attend a meeting with Pentagon officials at the Quantico Marine Corps Base. The generals and admirals have not been informed about the purpose of the meeting, but President Trump said that it will likely touch on the “esprit de corps.”
“It’s really just a very nice meeting talking about how we’re all doing militarily, talking about being in great shape, talking about a lot of good, positive things. It’s just a good message,” President Trump said. “We have some great people coming in and it’s just an ‘esprit de corps.’ You know the expression ‘esprit de corps?’ That’s all it’s about. We’re talking about what we’re doing, what they’re doing and how we’re doing.”
