DHS secretary reports the shooter died of a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
A rooftop sniper targeted a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas on Wednesday. After critically wounding three people, the shooter reportedly took his own life. All three of the wounded were ICE detainees and two have died of their wounds. No agents were injured in the attack.
Secretary Kristi Noem stated, “There was a shooting this morning at the Dallas [ICE Government] Field Office. Details are still emerging but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities. The shooter is deceased by a self-inflicted gun shot wound.”
She added, “Our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them. It must stop. Please pray for the victims and their families.”
“The obsessive attack on law enforcement, particularly ICE, must stop,” stated Vice President JD Vance in response. “I’m praying for everyone hurt in this attack and for their families.”
FBI Director Kash Patel stated that “an initial review of the evidence shows an idealogical motive behind this attack.”
“One of the unspent shell casings recovered was engraved with the phrase ‘ANTI ICE,'” Director Patel said. The director emphasized the need to end these types of attacks and vowed “those who target our law enforcement [will be] pursued and brought to the fullest extent of justice.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For DHS Secretary Noem and Acting ICE Director Lyons as they address the violence being directed at federal immigration enforcement.
- For FBI Director Patel and agents as they investigate the perpetrators of political violence.
