Agencies arrest 475 South Korean illegal immigrants at a Georgia factory.
President Donald Trump warned businesses about hiring illegal immigrants in the United States. His caution came after a number of federal law enforcement agencies, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), arrested 475 illegal immigrants at a battery factory in Savannah, Georgia, last week. The arrest is now one of the largest immigration raids conducted in decades.
“Your Investments are welcome, and we encourage you to LEGALLY bring your very smart people … and we will make it quickly and legally possible for you to do so,” President Trump wrote on social media. He said he expected overseas firms to “hire and train American workers.”
The majority of the 475 immigrants arrested in Georgia are from South Korea. The whistleblower who alerted ICE to the illegals employed at the factory claimed that they were working at slave labor wages and being exploited.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump to be discerning as he seeks foreign investment in U.S. manufacturing and seeks to reduce illegal immigration.
- For Acting Director Todd Lyons as he oversees U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
- For U.S. officials as they work to prevent human trafficking and exploitation.
