Take first steps into investigation into mortgage fraud.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has launched an investigation into allegations of mortgage fraud by Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook.
President Donald Trump attempted to fire Cook from her position at the central bank after Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte sent a criminal referral on her to the Justice Department. The Fed governor’s attorneys have maintained that she did not commit mortgage fraud and that, even if she did, that is not enough cause to fire her.
Cook has also filed a lawsuit to stop the president’s administration from removing her from the Federal Reserve Board. She is accused of claiming two homes as her primary residence. A third property, which was documented as her “second home,” has been leased out as a rental.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Attorney General Pamela Bondi to be prudent in her prosecution of mortgage fraud.
- For Director Pulte as he assesses the residency claims on federal mortgage documents.
