President Trump at the White House

Today, President Donald Trump welcomes South Korean President Lee Jae Myung to the White House. Together, they will discuss regional security in the face of Chinese aggression in the South China Sea and regional partnerships with allied nations.

President Trump at the White House

In July, both the U.S. and South Korea agreed to the initial framework of a trade tariff agreement. The two presidents are expected to discuss the details of the long-term trade agreement, which is likely to include significant funding for cooperative U.S.-South Korea shipbuilding initiatives. President Lee suspects that the agreement will include $150 billion dedicated to shipbuilding.

In addition, the two nations will discuss other areas of investment for partnerships with U.S. and South Korean manufacturing, including chipmaking, military defense, energy production, and nuclear power.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to direct the conversations and meetings between the two presidents today.
  • For President Trump to seek God’s wisdom as he makes decisions on international diplomacy.
  • For God’s hand to be on any agreements made today.
