The president voices concern that a Federal Reserve governor is falsifying bank documents.
President Donald Trump announced this week that Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook “must resign, now!!!” This comment came after U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte posted a letter to social media alleging that Governor Cook “falsified bank documents and property records to acquire more favorable loan terms, potentially committing mortgage fraud.”
No official report or evidence has been released at this time, but Director Pulte is continuing his investigation. Governor Cook released a statement saying, “I do intend to take any questions about my financial history seriously as a member of the Federal Reserve and so I am gathering the accurate information to answer any legitimate questions and provide the facts.”
