President Donald Trump is expected to announce replacement officials for vacant positions in the Federal Reserve and Bureau of Labor Statistics.

President Trump fired the previous commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics last week after the jobs report for July indicated that employment numbers missed their predicted gains. The bureau also made massive downward revisions to employment numbers released earlier this year.

“We need accurate Jobs Numbers,“ President Trump stated. He said the previous commissioner “will be replaced with someone much more competent and qualified. Important numbers like this must be fair and accurate.”

National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett pointed to the bureau’s major revisions to jobs numbers months after their initial reports, saying, “The president’s highest priority that the data be trusted and that people get to the bottom of why these revisions are so unreliable.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for President Trump as he selects individuals for federal economic posts.
  • For government officials to serve in their departments with honesty and integrity.
  • For Director Hassett to be discerning as he heads the National Economic Council.
